We have been trying to rearrange the December pack meeting to fit with some schedule changes but it has not worked out. So we will have the December pack meeting at the original scheduled date of December 18 at Sampson. I apologize for trying to rearrange the schedule and not getting it to work. Our December pack meeting will be on Thursday December 18 at 6:30 at the Sampson cafeteria. Apologies again for all the confusion. Mike Allen

I know that at least two dens have already volunteered to help, but we’ll need more help! Your den will need about four scouts/parent combos to show up for an hour if possible. I don’t remember saying we’d work this long, but since this is what has been publicized, we’ll have to go with it. On Wednesday we collect money and hand out signs. On Saturday, we collect signs and take them to storage. Shifts on Wednesday 11/12 are: 3:30-4:30 4:30-5:30 5:30-6:30 6:30-7:30 7:30-8:30 Shifts on Saturday 11/15 are: 3:00-4:00 4:00-5:00 If you have trucks, this would be a great shift to volunteer for as we’ll need to haul the signs back to storage. Everyone The pack helps run the Coles Crossing garage sale and for doing so, we keep a portion of the profits from the HOA for the sign and registration fees. We’ll need help this week on Wednesday, 11/12 from 3:30-8:30 to distribute signs and Saturday from 3:00-5:00 to pick up signs at the community center. Several den leaders have already volunteered a shift. Look to hear from your den leader for when you’ll need to try to be there to help out. Roxie

Den Leaders Quick reminder that the November Committee meeting will be at our house, 13415 Layton Castle Lane, on Thursday of this week (11/6) at 8:30pm. Please try to have one of your parents attend the meeting to take notes for your den. You’re of course welcome to come as well if you like or if you hold any leadership positions in the pack. We’ll be discussing our events for the next three months primarily. Roxie

As most of you have heard of the tragic news this week of Christopher Rhein, who was killed during an accident with a safety belt. He was a cub scout in Pack 1179 while he attended Sampson for 4 years. He was in the 8th grade this year. He was also Jacob Follmer’s cousin. Ken Klewitz, his den leader while a Cub Scout will present our pack flag to Christopher’s parents during a ceremonial fire on Saturday night . A flyer is attached about the ceremonial fire. Parking for the ceremonial fire will be at Goodson Middle school with a shuttle running back and forth.
